Fotbal

Fotbal, known as football in most countries and soccer in the United States and Canada, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a spherical ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. Players use their bodies, primarily their feet, to control and move the ball, although goalkeepers are allowed to use their hands within the penalty area.

The sport is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) at the international level, and it is one of the most popular sports globally, enjoyed by millions as players, fans, and spectators. Matches are typically divided into two halves, and various rules, called the Laws of the Game, regulate play to ensure fairness, safety, and sportsmanship. Football has numerous variations and competitions, ranging from local leagues to international tournaments like the FIFA World Cup.
